Theft of Ford Iveco Horsebox from farm premises in Wolston INC 144 of 1 September

Please can we make you aware that sometime during the night of 31 August into 1 September offenders stole a 7.5 tonne Ford Iveco horsebox with living accommodation from a farm premises in Wolston.

Please remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons, vehicles or activity on or around your own or neighbouring premises and please report anything of concern to police.

Today the 3rd September there has been an attempted theft of a horsebox in the newport area.  The chains were cut off the one gate into the field. and the gate at the other end of the field had been broken.Any information to 0300 333 3000 OIS number 0321S 030909.

Near Shawbury, a large quantity of saddles and bridles were stolen.  This burglary happened between 2.15pm and 4.30pm on Friday 28th August. Also stolen was a Kango generator. Overnight 2nd Sept to the 3rd September a manitou loader DX53TLF was stolen from Knockin, Near Oswestry.

Overnight 30/8/09 a red Vauxhall Movano horsebox SK51 UGE was stolen from the Neen Sollars area of Cleobury. Ref: 0295S 310809.

Stanton upon Hine Heath, near Shawbury. Eight leather saddles and bridles valued at £7,000 were taken by thieves who broke into a tack room at the end of a stable block in a field within the village.
The burglary happened between 2.15pm and 4.30pm on Friday and police are appealing for information.
A Kango diesel generator fitted with a Petter AC1 engine was also taken.  The generator which has a dented fuel tank and which would need at least two people to lift, is valued at £200.
The investigating officer, Police Constable Annie Hughes, said: "This is a high value theft and the victim is offering a reward of around £500 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the offenders and the return of the saddles and bridles.
"If anyone saw anything suspicious which might be linked to this crime or is offered saddles and bridles for sale in dubious circumstances, they should contact the police." Ref: 0552S 280809.
